File Mapping for Target Customers by User Records


Table 11 describes the CSV file mapping for target customers by user data (user-to-customer account mappings).

CUSTOMER_ID

NOTE:  CUSTOMER_ID is a foreign key to the CUSTOMERS table.

OPERATION

Indicates whether the current record should be inserted, updated, or deleted in the database. The format is as follows:

  • I indicates an insert. The insert does not succeed if the record already exists.
  • UC indicates an update by customer.
  • UM indicates an update by member (the sales representative).
  • D indicates delete.

    If you use this operation with the Customer ID and *, you can delete all information in the MEMBERS_CUSTOMERS.csv relating to the customer. For example, the following code deletes all member's visibilty to CUST-01:

    *, CUST-01, D.

    Also, if use this operation with the Member ID (USER_EMAIL) and *, you can delete all information in the MEMBERS_CUSTOMERS.csv relating to the member. For example, the following code deletes all member's visibilty to all customers:

    Brenda.moore@company.com,*,D

    NOTE:  The following code is not allowed, you cannot use both the user email and Customer ID as wildcards: *, *, D

The sample file is MEMBER_CUSTOMERS.csv.
