About Order Line Records

The Oracle Sales Prospector predictions for prospects are the most accurate when the amount, close date, and lead date fields are filled out for Order Line records (see File Mapping for Order Line Records). If these fields are left blank, Oracle Sales Prospector attempts to use the remaining information, where possible, to make its predictions.

In particular:

  • The presence of a record in the order history affects the probability of a purchase, even if the amount, order data, and lead date fields are left blank. Products that are already owned by a customer are not recommended.
  • The presence of the order amount helps to predict the projected revenue, even if the other fields are left blank.
  • The presence of the close date and the lead date help to predict the months to close value, even if the other fields are left blank.
  • The presence of the close date and the amount results in the inclusion of the order on the quarterly purchases graph, if the purchase was made in the last 16 quarters.
