Change the URL for the Console


You use the following URL pattern to access the Administration Console: http://listen-addess:listen-port/context-path.

To specify the listen address and listen port that you use to access the Administration Console, configure the listen address and listen port of the Administration Server. See Configuration Options.

To specify the context path that you use to access the Administration Console:

  1. If you have not already done so, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Lock & Edit (see Use the Change Center).
  2. In the left pane of the Console, under Domain Structure, select the domain name.
  3. Select Configuration > General, and click Advanced at the bottom of the page.
  4. In Console Context Path, enter the context path that you want to use.

    For example, if you set the context path to myconsole, then you use the following URL to access the Administration Console: http://localhost:7001/myconsole.

  5. To activate these changes, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Activate Changes.
    Not all changes take effect immediately—some require a restart (see Use the Change Center).

After you finish

Restart the Administration Server.
