Oracle WebCenter Content Service for Documentum Installation and Upgrade Guide
| Describes how to install and upgrade the components of Oracle WebCenter Content Service for Documentum. |
- When executing the ptdctmcsd.sh to start or stop the AquaLogic Interaction Content Service - Documentum
daemon, a message indicating that the "Plumtree Test Service" is being started
or stopped will appear. Only the message is erroneous; the AquaLogic Interaction Content Service - Documentum
service is actually being started or stopped. (Issue #44355)
- Crawl job or click-throughs fail with error stating there are no more available
sessions: [DM_API_E_NO_SESSION] error: "There are no more available sessions."
(Issue #27874)
Workaround: Increase the max_session_count in the dmcl.ini file.
This may have to be done iteratively until the error goes away. Make sure
that the concurrent_sessions parameter in the server.ini file of the docbase
is large enough to support the value in the dmcl.ini file. Consult the section
of the installation guide that covers tuning Documentum for details.
- Out of memory error (java.lang.OutOfMemoryError) occurs when clicking through
to a very large file: ~160 mb. (Issue #35926)
Workaround: Tune the application server to allocate more memory
to the JVM or only crawl smaller files.
- Click-through does not work after upgrading from Documentum CWS 5.1.1 to
Documentum CS 5.4. The screen appears that queries for the credentials, but
nothing happens when the credentials are entered. (Issue #39972)
Workaround: The User Preferences as configured in the Preferences
screen of both of the Web services in Portal v.5.0 and above and in the clickthrough
gadget of 4.5WS need to be capitalized. Specifically, "Docbase", "DocbaseUser",
"DocbasePassword", and "DocbaseDomain" need to become "DOCBASE", "DOCBASEUSER",
"DOCBASEPASSWORD", "DOCBASEDOMAIN". Consult the upgrade section of the installation
guide for details.
- For some crawls, certain .pdf files are not successfully crawled into the
portal. (Issue #20869)
Workaround: Re-run the crawl and the missing .pdf files should
be crawled.
