BEA AquaLogic Data Services Platform 2.0
formerly: BEA Liquid Data for WebLogic 8.5

Note: BEA Liquid Data for WebLogic® recently became BEA AquaLogic Data Services Platform&trade. The documentation for this release always uses the name Liquid Data.

Liquid Data is a service-oriented solution that enables enterprise information to be delivered and accessed as data services. With data services, organizations can deliver information in units that correspond to the logical business entities relevant to their domain, such as customers, orders, or products. Data services encapsulate the logic for reading, writing, and transforming the information that composes the entity, insulating data consumers from having to contend with multiple data source formats and connection mechanisms. Liquid Data provides the tools and frameworks needed to rapidly develop and deploy data services. And the ability of a wide variety of client application types to access deployed data service functions. The underlying WebLogic Platform provides capabilities for security, clustering, manageability, and more.
