Note: AquaLogic Pathways 1.5 MP1 does not support IPv6. If a
system is incorrectly configured to enable IPv6, errors may occur with your
system. You must ensure that IPv6 is not enabled on your system before
installing AquaLogic Pathways 1.5. For help verifying whether IPv6 is
enabled, please contact Customer Support.
AquaLogic Pathways 1.5 MP1 supports direct upgrade from version 1.5. If you want to upgrade from 1.0 or 1.0 MP1, you must first upgrade to 1.5 and then to 1.5 MP1.
- Pathways 1.5 MP1 includes an optimization allowing a series of REST API method calls to take advantage of app-server session based caching of user security objects to avoid the overhead of authentication and user group lookups on every request.
- Pathways 1.5 MP1 includes an optimization expanding the existing session based user ACL caching to include the paring of unnecessary elements from large security search clauses.
- Pathways 1.5 MP1 introduces a REST API method that provides a means to delete all user-tag-item instances for a given View-Tag combination.
- Pathways 1.5 MP1 provides a limited means to "rename" a user's previously created tags in a single REST call.
- Pathways 1.5 MP1 introduces an optional argument to the existing REST API View Details call to force a cache update of an identified View's group membership.
- Custom view performance is poor in the REST API. (Issue #67799)
- Pathways perform superfluous ACL queries contributing to performance overhead in REST API searches. (Issue #69557)
- The Pathways REST API POST URL for updating Views does not persist changes to either the member or subscriber lists. (Issue #69628)
- Pathways only supports operations at a document level. There is no direct way to remove a tag from multiple documents. You must get a list of all documents associated with the tag and remove the tag association one document at a time. (Issue #69682)
- Pathways only supports operations at a document level. There is no direct way to rename a tag. You must get a list of all documents associated with the tag, remove the tag association one document at a time, then associate each document with the new tag name. (Issue #69683)

- Pathways 1.5 provides a REST API providing the ability for developers to create custom Pathways UI's and to embed search and tagging functionality into any application that can communicate via HTTP.
- Pathways 1.5 includes search, tag cloud, and results portlets as well as a tag application pagelet.
- Pathways 1.5 provides the ability to import links and tags stored in a bookmarks file.
- Pathways 1.5 includes notification emails of saved searches.
- Pathways 1.5 provides the ability to retrieve any query as an RSS feed.
- The administration UI may intermittently display
information that is out of date due to caching. Logging out and then
back in again should mitigate this situation. (Issue #57814)
- Initiating a full rebuild of the ActivityRanks using
Internet Explorer 6 causes the calendar to appear in the Rank Factors
Schedule and Status page. (Issue #60926)
- Objects with extremely long names cause display issues in the auto-tagging preview window. (Issue #62384)
- Resizing the browser window while making adjustments on the Rank
Factors or General page may cause the sliders to be misaligned with the
page. Refresh the page after resizing to return the sliders to the
proper position. (Issue #62631)
- Installing the Analytics Event for Pathways more than once
on the Analytics server disables the Rank Engine's ability to query
user profile views. The custom Analytics event must be manually removed
in order to recover the ability. (Issue #62063)
- Customers who have upgraded from Plumtree Corporate Portal
4.5 to AquaLogic Interaction 6.1 MP1 may notice that some Knowledge
Directory cards cannot be re-indexed. Instead the portal generates
the following message in the UI:
“Error in function PTCard.Store (): -2147204349 - A card
serialization error caused card storage to fail: error committing
single card:com.plumtree.server.marshalers.PTException: -2147467259 -
Unrecoverable error while committing bulk card import"
PTSpy will show the following:
“com.plumtree.server.impl.directory.PTCardPropertyValues Error
in function PTCardPropertyValues.Add (nPropertyID == 109):-2147024809 -
Duplicate entry found.com.plumtree.server.marshalers.PTException:
-2147024809 - Duplicate entry
found.com.plumtree.server.marshalers.PTException: -2147024809 -
Duplicate entry found.“
Refer to KB Article DA_432374 in order to address this issue. (Issue #62259)
- Properties whose values begin with a special character are incorrectly sorted within expert result sets. (Issue #62532)
- Document views directly from Collaboration email notifications are not included in ActivityRank calculations. (Issue #60084)
- Properties displayed in the auto-tagging interface are not
filtered by the portal object type displayed in the browser. (Issue
#58096)
- The tag associations table incorrectly shows "Page 1 of 0" when no associations are present. (Issue #60945)
- Selecting
a date within the Rank Factors Schedule and Status date and time picker
causes the picker to close. The picker must be reopened to modify the
time. (Issue #61026)
- Caching of security sessions can allow a user to continue
to make modifications within Pathways administration after that user
account has been deleted from the portal. (Issue #62325)
- The tag associations table only shows the details for the first 10 associations. (Issue #68095)
- In some cases the tag rebuild progress bar will not show completion even though the rebuild is successfully completed. Use Spy to track progress of the tag rebuild operation in these cases. (Issue #62185)
- In some cases the auto-tagging progress bar will not show status even though the operation is successfully completed. Use Spy to track progress of the auto-tagging operation in these cases. (Issue #62187)
- Auto-tagging operations allow restricted tags to be added to the system. (Issue #67787)
- Auto-tagging operations will fail when the locale of the user running the operation is different from the locale of the user that created the auto-tagging rule. (Issue #67877)
- Group names are displayed in the server locale when modifying a previously saved view. (Issue #61861)
- Users deleted from the portal are not automatically removed as members or
subscribers to a view. In order to address this issue, the view must be
recreated or the users must be manually removed from the database.
(Issue #62520)
- Searches within custom views containing a large number of users may perform poorly. (Issue #62639)
- Stopping the Search Service results in a services error on Windows. (Issue #62629)
- The Search Service is CPU intensive. It is recommended that the Search Service be installed on its own server. (Issue #62641)
- The installer does not generate an error if installed on a drive with insufficient space. (Issue #60641)
- The Pathways installer does not indicate if an invalid value is entered for the Configuration Manager port. (Issue #62169)
- The link to open the Configuration Manager within the Launch Configuration
Manager installer panel does not open the browser on Solaris. (Issue
#62279)
- The Cancel button within the Launch Configuration Manager
and Application Settings Confirmation installer panels is active.
Selecting this button will not have any effect on the installation
process as it is already completed. (Issue #62460)
- Attempting to restart the portal before the Pathways
installer has completed will cause the portal startup to fail when both
applications are on the same server. (Issue #62477)
- Non-English email notification templates are not properly deployed during installation. Sending notifications for users whose locale is
something other than English will result in a message similar to the one below in both the log and Spy.
org.apache.velocity.exception.ResourceNotFoundException: Unable to find resource '\plumtree\pathways\private\notification\emailTxt_ja.nst'
...
org.apache.velocity.exception.ResourceNotFoundException: Unable to find resource '\plumtree\pathways\private\notification\email_ja.nst'
In order to resolve the issue, make a copy of the English versions of the notification templates, replace "_en" with the appropriate
two-letter language identifier, and place the new template in the notification folder on the image server. The notification folder is located
in "%PT_HOME%/ptimages/plumtree/pathways/private" by default. For example, locate and copy "email_en.nst" to "email_ja.nst" in order to enable
notifications in Japanese. (Issue #68303)
- The Phone Home feature in the Configuration Manager is not supported for use by customers unless directed to do so by customer support. (Issue #68098)
- Publisher items do not appear in search results for
customers who originally installed Publisher 6.2 or above. Run the
following SQL statement on the portal database to resolve this
situation:
"UPDATE PTSERVERCONFIG SET VALUE = 1 WHERE SETTINGID = 70" (Issue #62419)
- Users belonging to a large number of Collaboration
projects may see a decrease in search performance when Collaboration
items are selected within the Pathways preferences page. (Issue #62640)
- Wildcards are not supported in parameterized searches. (Issue #62643)
- Favorites are only displayed in the Pathways Simple UI when at least one user is added as a contact. (Issue #68263)
- The browser title of the Content Submission page displays a numeric value for users in an Asian locale. (Issue #68015)
- Adding tags from the Enhanced UI results in errors in PTSpy. These errors do not have a negative impact on Pathways functionality or performance, and can be ignored. (Issue #68437)
- Viewing the Search, Tag Cloud and Results portlets before any tags are added to the system might result in a JavaScript error that prevents search functionality. Refresh the browser to eliminate the error message. To resolve the issue, add a tag to any item using the Enhanced UI or Pathways Administration. (Issue #68439)
