Known Issues
Serial Version UID Mismatch
A Serial Version UID mismatch may be encountered if you deploy an application on a latest JVM but compiled with a prior release of Sun JDK
Workaround: To be compatible with the serialization of previously compiled applications, modify the <BEA_HOME>/wlserver_10.0/common/bin/commEnv.sh
file to include the following command:
JAVA_OPTIONS="$JAVA_OPTIONS -Dcom.sun.xml.namespace.QName.useCompatibleSerialVersionUID=1.0"
Alternatively, you can use the command line option:
export JAVA_OPTIONS="$JAVA_OPTIONS -Dcom.sun.xml.namespace.QName.useCompatibleSerialVersionUID=1.0"
Note: If you intend to deploy new applications with previously compiled applications, they must be recompiled as necessary to have the same Serial Version UID.
Known Issues for Solaris 10 on x86
- Installation fails with
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.OutOfMemoryError
message.
Workaround: Increase the heap memory to a suitable size, recommended minimum -Xms to 128m and maximum -Xmx to 256m. For example:
java -Xms128m -Xmx256m platform1020_generic.jar
- Installation fails with
Fatal error encoutered during self-extraction. Click Yes to exit, No to continue as a Net installation.[No space left on device]
message.
Workaround: Redirect the /tmp directory to any local directory. For example:
java -Xms128m -Xmx256m -Djava.io.tmpdir=/export/home/temp -jar platform1020_generic.jar
Known Issues for Other BEA Products
For information about known issues with BEA products supported on this configuration, including available workarounds, see the appropriate Release Notes document.
