Configure trusted relationships

Before you begin

Create messaging bridge instances

Whenever the Exactly-once QOS (quality of service) is required for transferring messages transactionally across different WebLogic Server domains, you must establish a trust relationship between these domains by using a common security credential.

To configure a trusted relationship:

  1. If you have not already done so, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Lock & Edit (see Use the Change Center).
  2. Click the domain node (for example, wl_server).
  3. In the right pane, select Security > General and click Advanced.
  4. If checked, clear the Enable Generated Credential check box.
  5. Enter a password for the domain in the Credential field. This password must match the password used for the domain that you are interoperating with.
  6. Click Save.

Note: This password must match the password used for the domain that you are interoperating with.

  7. When interoperating with a release 6.1 domain, make sure that “system” user is a member of the Administrators group in the 9.0 domain. See Enabling Trust Between WebLogic Domains.

Note: When interoperating with a release 6.1 domain, the 9.0 Credential password must exactly match the “system” user password configured for the 6.1 domain.

  8. To activate these changes, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Activate Changes.
Not all changes take effect immediately—some require a restart (see Use the Change Center).
