Access JCOM system resources

This subtask is part of the main task for creating a security policy. Start with the main task: Create security policies

Security policies for JCOM resources apply to components accessed through BEA's bi-directional COM-Java (jCOM) bridging tool. A COM resource is a specific type of WebLogic resource that is designed as a program component object according to Microsoft's framework.

Access policies for this resource by following either step 1 or step 2.

To use the Services node:
1. Expand Services > JCOM and select the JCom class in the JCom Class table.
2. Select Security > Policies to display the Scoped Roles table.
To use the Policies table:
Note: The Policies table provides centralized access to all global and scoped security roles. For more information, see List security policies
1. In the left panel select Security Realms.
2. On the Security Realm Summary page select the name of the realm (for example, myrealm)
3. On the Realm Settings page select Roles and Policies > Policies.
4. On the Polices table expand JCOM to display the JCOM class.
5. Select the radio button next to the class and click Create Policy.
  The Policy Conditions page appears.
