Access JMS system resources

Before you begin

This subtask is part of the main task for creating a security policy. Start with the main task: Create security policies

Security policies for Java Management Service (JMS) system resources apply to JMS resources that are deployed as a service. This type of deployment makes the resource globally available to all applications deployed in a WebLogic domain.

Access policies for this resource by following either step 1 or step 2.

  1. To use the Services node
    1. In the left panel, expand Services > Messaging and select the JMS module or individual resource, for example:

      Services > JMS > Modules > myJMSModule > myJMSDestination

    2. On the Settings page for the JMS resource, select Security > Policies to display the Policy Conditions page.
  2. To use the Policies table:

Note: The Policies table provides centralized access to all global and scoped security roles. For more information, see List security policies

    1. In the left panel select Security Realms.
    2. On the Security Realms Summary page select the name of the realm (for example, myrealm)
    3. On the Realm Settings page select Roles and Policies > Policies.
    4. In the Policies table expand JMS and display the JMS resource or resource. For example:

      JMS > myJMSModule > Destinations > myJMSDestination

    5. Select the radio button next to the resource and click Create Policy.

The Policies Conditions page for the resource appears.

  3. Return to the main task. Start at Create security policies: step 2
