Shut down JDBC
In the Administration Console, you can manually shut down individual
instances of a data source. When you shut down a data source, behavior
depends on the type of shutdown that you select:
- Shutdown - which closes all connections in the data source and
deletes the runtime MBean for the data source. If any connections from
the data source are currently in use, the operation will fail.
- Force Shutdown - which forcibly closes all connections in the data
source, including those in use, and deletes the runtime MBean for the

Navigate to the data source that you want
to shut down:
Control page, select the instances of the data
source that you want to suspend.
Date source instances are listed by the server on which they are
Click the Shutdown button and select
Shutdown or Force
Click Yes to confirm the action.
Results are displayed at the top of the page.
