Create JMS system module security roles

A JMS module security role is used to secure a JMS module deployed within a security realm. For more information, see Securing WebLogic Resources.

Note: BEA recommends using initial capitalization, singular names for global roles; for example, SecurityEng.

To define a queue security role:

  1. Expand Services > Messaging and select JMS Modules.
  2. On the Summary of JMS Modules page, select the module that you want to configure.

If the table is empty, refer to Configure JMS system modules.

  3. Click Security: Roles to open the JMS Module Roles page.
  4. Click New.
  5. In Name, specify a name for your new Role.
  6. Click OK.
  7. To activate these changes, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Activate Changes.
Not all changes take effect immediately—some require a restart (see Use the Change Center).

After you finish

Now that you have named the role, see Configure JMS system module security policies.
