Update (redeploy) a J2EE library

When you update a J2EE library, WebLogic Server redeploys the archive file or exploded directory. Update a library if you have made changes to it and you want to make the changes available to the modules and applications deployed to WebLogic Server that are using the library.

To update a J2EE library:

  1. If you have not already done so, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Lock & Edit (see Use the Change Center).
  2. In the left pane of the Console, select Deployments. A table in the right pane displays the installed applications, modules, and J2EE libraries. J2EE libraries are specified with the Library entry in the Type column.
  3. In the table, locate the J2EE library you want to update (redeploy).
  4. Select the check box next to the name of the library you want to update.
  5. Click Update to redeploy the library.
  6. Click Finish to confirm your decision.
  7. To activate these changes, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Activate Changes.
Not all changes take effect immediately—some require a restart (see Use the Change Center).
