Formatting Your Web Pages
You can use many techniques to format your web pages in the JSP Editor, including the use of CSS and HTML styles, paragraph and character formatting and table editing. All of these techniques are accessible through the Design editors and the Source editors (and of course simultaneously through the Compound editor as well).
Using styles

To apply a CSS Style either
-
Select a CSS style name from the CSS Style menu item of the JSP Design editor's pop-up menu or
-
Select Text > CSS Style from the menu bar and choose a CSS Style from the resulting dialog

To apply an HTML style either
-
Select an HTML style name from the Style menu item of the JSP Design editor's pop-up menu or
-
Select an HTML style name from the Text > Style menu item from the menu bar.
Changing text

To change the font either
-
Select a font name from the Font menu item of the JSP Design editor's pop-up menu or
-
Select a font name from the Text > Font menu item from the menu bar.

To change the font size either
-
Select a font size from the Size menu item of the JSP Design editor's pop-up menu or
-
Select a font size from the Text > Size menu item from the menu bar.

To change the font color either
-
Select Color from the JSP Design editor's pop-up menu or
-
Select Text > Color from the menu bar.
Using tables

To insert a new table
-
Select the Table in the HTML tag library in the
Design Palette view.
You can single-click or use drag and drop to position the Table entry in the Design editor.

Enter the table properties in the resulting Insert Table wizard

Click OK to insert the table element into the document.

To select a table
-
Select Table > Select Table from the JSP Design editor's pop-up menu or from the menu bar.
This will select the table closest to the current position of the cursor in the document.

To insert rows and columns
-
Select Table > Insert Row from the JSP Design editor's pop-up menu or from the menu bar.
This will insert a new row into the table after the row closest to the current cursor position.

Select Table > Insert Column from the JSP Design editor's pop-up menu or from the menu bar.
This will insert a new column into the table after the column closest to the current cursor position.

Select Table > Insert Row Before from the JSP Design editor's pop-up menu or from the menu bar.
This will insert a new row into the table before the row closest to the current cursor position.

Select Table > Insert Column Before from the JSP Design editor's pop-up menu or from the menu bar.
This will insert a new column into the table before the column closest to the current cursor position.

To remove rows and columns

Select Table > Delete Row from the JSP Design editor's pop-up menu or from the menu bar.
This will delete the table row closest to the current cursor position.

Select Table > Delete Column from the JSP Design editor's pop-up menu or from the menu bar.
This will delete the table column closest to the current cursor position.
