Generating Client Artifacts using ClientGen

The WebLogic Server's <clientgen> Ant task generates from a WSDL file the client-side artifacts used to invoke the web service.

You can access WebLogic Server's <clientgen> Ant task through Workshop by right-clicking a WSDL file and selecting Web Services > Web Service Client from ClientGen.

Using the ClientGen wizard you can specify the location of the artifacts (the Jar file) and other generation parameters.

JAX-RPC and JAX-WS WSDLs will result in different sets of artifacts being produced.

For detailed documentation on using clientgen and clientgen artifacts see <clientgen> Ant task in the WebLogic Server documentation.
