Binding a Task View to a Task View Step
This task is a step in Defining UI Objects. In order to display a task view in conjunction with a task view step, you must bind the task view to the task view step. For more information, see Defining a Task View Step. To bind a task view to a task view step
- Open the Task Designer for the task UI in which you must bind a task view.
For more information, see Using the Task Designer.
- Right-click the task view step to which you must bind a task view, then choose Bind Task View from the pop-up menu.
- In the Please bind a task view from the following list dialog box, choose a task view, then click OK.
This dialog box lists the task views that are defined for the task UI. If the task view that you require is not listed in the dialog box, then you can define a new task view by clicking New. When you click New, the New Task View wizard launches.
After you click OK, the name of the view that the task view step references is displayed as the label for the task view step in the Task Designer.
- Define properties for the task view step.
Several properties on the task view step, such as Disable Cancel, allow you to specify behavior of the task playbar. The Forward Button Type property allows you to control when information is saved to the database. For more information, see Task Playbar Applet.
