Applying a Clinical Trip Report Template


The Template field of the Site Visits view displays all of the trip report templates that are applicable for that clinical site visit's Protocol, Region, and Visit Type details. When a Trip Report Template is applied to a Trip Report, all of the Trip Report Template details are copied to the Trip Report.

Checklist and Follow-Up activities defined in the Trip Report Template Details tab of the Trip Report Template are copied to the Trip Report, and overwrite any existing Checklist and Follow-Up activities defined in the Trip Report.

SmartScript questionnaires defined in the SmartScript field of the Trip Report Template are applied to the Trip Report, and are displayed in the Questions view. For performance reasons, the SmartScript questionnaire is not displayed in the Questions view until after the SmartScript questionnaire has been launched by the user. To apply a clinical trip report template

  1. Navigate to the Site Visits screen, and then the Clinical Site Visits List view.
  2. In the Clinical Site Visits List view, drill down on the Visit Start date of the site visit to which you want to apply a trip report template.

    The Trip Report view for the selected site visit is displayed.

  3. In the Template field, select the name of the trip report template that you want to apply.

    A list of templates are displayed that correspond to the Site's Protocol, Region, and Visit Type details.

    When you save the Template field, the activities defined in the template appear in the Checklist Activities list and Follow-Up Items list.
