About Siebel Open UI

You can deploy Siebel Business Applications using a new user interface option, Siebel Open UI. Siebel Open UI is an alternative to high interactivity or standard interactivity. Siebel Open UI provides a rich user interface experience, like high interactivity, yet presents many advantages over high interactivity and standard interactivity. It is based on browser standards and supports recent versions of several browsers.

You can deploy employee applications or partner applications, such as Siebel Call Center or Siebel PRM Portal, in Siebel Open UI. You can also deploy customer applications, such as Siebel eSales or Siebel eService, in Siebel Open UI. A new Application Object Manager component is provided to support Siebel eService for Siebel Open UI.

User interface references in this guide assume that you are using Siebel Open UI. The Siebel application procedures in this guide assume that you do not use left-hand navigation.
