Creating Account Calls in Siebel Pharma Handheld


Account Calls are used to track a planned or past call activity at an account. You can enter account call details directly in Siebel Pharma Handheld applications. For more information about entering call details, see Recording Account Calls in Siebel Pharma Handheld Applications.

To add an account call from the Accounts view

  1. Navigate to the Accounts screen.
  2. In the Accounts list, tap the New Call button and complete the fields in the new form. Some of the fields are described in the following table.

    Field
    Comments

    Name

    The account to be visited during this call. Make a selection from the Pick Account dialog box.

    Site

    A unique location identifier that distinguishes this account from any other accounts with the same name.

    Smart Call

    The Smart Call template to be associated with this call. Make a selection from the Pick Smart Call dialog box.

    A Smart Call is a template that you apply to contact calls that defines information about the products detailed, samples and promotional items distributed, and issues discussed on a call. After you apply a Smart Call template to a call, you can make additional edits.

    Status

    The status of this call. The default value is Planned. You cannot select the value Submitted. To change the status of the call to Submitted, you must submit the call. For more information about submitting a call, see To submit a completed account call.

  3. From the Show drop-down list, select the following and add records, if necessary:
    • Details
    • Attendees
  4. From the parent Account Call form, select the Submit button.

To validate the call

  1. Navigate to Account Call Details screen.
  2. Tap on the Validate button.

    When the validation completes, a dialog either displays that there are no errors or displays all the errors from the underlying validation engine (LS Pharma Validation Service - CE).

To create private notes for the call

  1. Navigate to Account Call screen.
  2. Select Wrap-up from the View drop down list.
  3. Tap the Call Notes tab.
  4. Enter details to the following fields to make private notes for the calls:
    • Comment
    • Next Call D
    • Next Call Objective

To create public notes for the call

  1. Navigate to the Contact Call screen.
  2. Select Profile from the View drop down list.
  3. Tap the Notes tab.

    The Pharma Handheld application displays the notes list specific to the call.

  4. Select New Record from the menu and create a note.

To add an account call from the Account Call view

  1. Navigate to the Account Call screen.
  2. On the toolbar, tap the New Record button.
  3. In the Account Call form, complete the necessary fields.
