Updating the User's Responsibilities and Views to Use Store-and-Forward Messaging

You must update and the responsibilities to the newly created or newly altered views.

To update the user's responsibilities and views for Store-and-Forward Messaging

1. Log into a Siebel Web Client as a system administrator.
2. Navigate to Administration - Application > Responsibilities.
3. Add SADMIN and handheld users to the Siebel Handheld user's responsibility by doing the following:
   • Query for the responsibility.

     For example, Medical Sales - HH CE.

   • Insert SADMIN, and the user ID of the handheld users in the Users applet.
4. Add the new views to the handheld user's responsibility by doing the following:
   • Query for the responsibility.

     For example, Medical Sales - HH CE.

   • Insert the following new records into the Views applet:
     • SHCE Async Query List view
     • SHCE Wireless Alerts List view

       NOTE:  If you cannot insert the new records into the views applet, you can add these new views through Site Map > Administration-Application > Views.

5. Query for the SMQ User responsibility, then insert SADMIN into the Users applet.
6. Select the Organization for the SMQ User responsibility and verify whether the Siebel Handheld user's organization is included.

   For example, Medical Products MD ENU is the user SADMIN's organization.
