Decompressing PCD Content

As part of remote synchronization based on catalog visibility, all new messaging plans and PCD content files are automatically downloaded to the remote client. Sales representatives must decompress and cache the PCD content before they can use the new PCD content and messaging plans for an interactive session during a call.

Click the Decompression button from the Siebel Business Application toolbar. Literature records have a calculated field called, NeedToSync. The value of this field is set to True if the record is modified after decompression.

If the value of the user property, CheckForNeedToSync, is set to Y, then the next time you click the Decompression button, only messages with the user property, NeedToSync, set to Y are decompressed. Otherwise, all messages are decompressed.
