Configuring the Marketing Application to Connect to the Email Sending Daemon


This topic describes how to set up the Marketing application to connect to the Email Sending Daemon.

This task is a step in Process of Configuring the Email Sending Daemon.

To configure the Marketing application to connect to the Email Sending Daemon

  1. Open Internet Explorer and navigate to the Siebel Marketing Server login screen. For example:

    http://marketing server hostname/marketing_enu

  2. Log in as the server administrator.
  3. Navigate to the Administration - Web Services screen, and then the Outbound Web Services view.
  4. In the Outbound Web Services list, in the Name field, query for SendMailingService.
  5. In the Service Ports list, in the SendMailing record, perform the following steps:
    1. Obtain the Web Port Id identified in Configuring the SOAP Communications Port.
    2. In Address field, change the URL using the following syntax:

    http://esd server hostname:esd web port/esd/soaprpc

  6. Click Clear Cache.
  7. Navigate to the Administration - Marketing screen, and then the Servers view.
  8. In the Servers list, in the Name field, query for Email Marketing Server.
  9. In the parameters list, locate the Email Sending Daemon (ESD) parameter, and verify that the Outbound Web Service Port field contains SendMailing.
