Configuring Snapshot Files for Appeal Cases


After administrators change the fields in BIP (Business Intelligence Publisher) snapshot files for appeal cases, they must complete additional tasks. For more information about these tasks, see Siebel Reports Guide.

General information about these tasks follows:

  1. Generate a sample XML data file for the snapshot file.

    After administrators change the fields in XML snapshot files for appeal cases, they must complete this task.

  2. Use Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher Add-in for Microsoft Word to configure the layout template for the BIP snapshot file.

    For more information about configuring report templates, see Business Intelligence User Guide, which is available from the application menu in the add-in application. (Select Start, Programs, Oracle BI Publisher Desktop, and then BI Publisher User Guide.)

  3. Register the layout template for the BIP snapshot file.

    Make sure that you select the same report name and integration object that you designate when you change the user properties for the HLS Case business component. For more information, see Changing Fields in Snapshot Files for Appeal Cases.

  4. Associate the registered BIP snapshot file with the Attachments view for evidence records in cases.
