About Installing Siebel Search

Siebel Search uses Oracle Secure Enterprise Search as the default search engine. This chapter covers installation of Oracle Secure Enterprise Search, and installation of Siebel components related to Search.

Upgrading from Siebel Search Version 7.x

Any custom search objects which were defined in Siebel Search Version 7.x must be redefined in the Application_Suite_OSES_Field-Mappings.xml file. For more information, see Configuring Index Mappings.
