You can launch the Monitoring Dashboard from the Administration Console, or you can run it separately in a web browser. The Monitoring Dashboard is always displayed in its own tab, or window, depending on the preferences you have set for your browser, and does not require the Administration Console to be running.
For an introduction to the Monitoring Dashboard, see Using the Monitoring Dashboard.
You can launch the Monitoring Dashboard in either of the following ways:
In the Charts and Graphs area, click Monitoring Dashboard.
hostname
is the DNS name or IP address of the
Administration Server and port
is the address
of the port on which the Administration Server is listening for
requests (7001 by default).
http://hostname:port/console/dashboard
If the WebLogic Server Administration Console is not already running when you launch the Monitoring Dashboard, you are prompted to enter a username and password.
After you finish
Views, and the changes you make to them, are automatically persisted in the data archive when you exit from the Monitoring Dashboard. They are available to you the next time you launch the Monitoring Dashboard.
