About This Oracle Tuxedo JCA Adapter Release

Oracle Tuxedo JCA Adapter is JCA-based resource adapter. It provides bi-directional connectivity between JCA1.5 compliant application servers and the Oracle Tuxedo system.

Features

Oracle Tuxedo JCA Adapter 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.1.0.) includes the following features:

•	Bi-directional service request invocation between application servers and Oracle Tuxedo

•	Transaction context and identity propagation from application servers to Oracle Tuxedo

•	Session authentication

•	Data privacy

•	Secure Socket Layer support

•	Common Client Interface (CCI) for application development

•	Java Application-To-Monitor Interface (JATMI) API for application development

Oracle Tuxedo JCA Adapter Installation Prerequisites

Oracle Tuxedo JCA Adapter is contained in a single resource archive file (com.oracle.tuxedo.TuxedoAdapter.rar), which can be downloaded from the Oracle product download Web site: http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/index.html.

Installation requires the following prerequisites:

•	Access to JDK 1.5 or later

•	5 MB free disk space

•	A text editor or XML editor

•	Requires unrestricted strength jurisdiction policy file if encryption is required

Oracle Tuxedo JCA Adapter Platform Support

The following application servers are certified for use with Oracle Tuxedo JCA Adapter:

•	Oracle WebLogic Server 10g Release 3

•	IBM WebShpere 7.0

•	RedHat JBoss 5.1.0.GA

•	IBM WebShpere 6.1

Oracle Tuxedo JCA Adapter is expected to run on all OS platforms supported by these application servers.
