Create topic security roles

A topic security role is used to secure a topic resource deployed within a security realm. For more information, see Securing Resources Using Roles and Policies for Oracle WebLogic Server.

Note: Oracle recommends using initial capitalization, singular names for global roles; for example, SecurityEng.

To define a topic security role:

  1. In the Administration Console, navigate to the topic resource that you want to configure:
  2. Click Security: Roles to open the JMS Topic Roles page.
  3. Click New.
  4. In Name, specify a name for your new Role.
  5. Click Ok.
  6. To activate these changes, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Activate Changes.
Not all changes take effect immediately—some require a restart (see Use the Change Center).

After you finish

Now that you have named the role, see Configure topic security policies.
