Specifying Database Information for Extracting Data

The Extended Analytics feature of Extract Data enables you to use Oracle Essbase to analyze data and produce reports. You use a data source name (DSN) to specify the relational database destination. You must specify the data source name and path. You can add, remove, or modify data source names as needed.

When you use multiple servers with the Extended Analytics feature of Extract Data, you must enable multiple server support on each application server, and you must set up each application server so that these elements are the same on all servers: Clock setting, Data source, and UDL file.

For information on extracting data to a database and using Extended Analytics, see the Oracle Hyperion Financial Management Administrator's Guide.
