Performance Management Architect includes these new and enhanced features:
Support for unlimited Oracle Hyperion Financial Management custom dimensions for applications
Support for a new Oracle Hyperion Profitability and Cost Management Detailed Profitability application
Support for interface data source management from within Performance Management Architect
Support for Oracle Essbase in Secure Socket Layer (SSL) mode
Support for importing Oracle Hyperion Data Relationship Management metadata into Performance Management Architect
Support for reusable data synchronization filters
In previous releases of Financial Management, four custom dimensions were supported. In this release of Financial Management, applications can have unlimited custom dimensions. Unlimited Financial Management custom dimensions are supported throughout Performance Management Architect wherever dimension information is displayed in the user interface.
A new Hyperion Profitability and Cost Management Detailed Profitability application type is supported in this release of Performance Management Architect. Although new system members and a new dimension, the Measures Detailed dimension, were added to support this new application, you create a Detailed Profitability and Cost Management application in the same way you create a Standard Profitability and Cost Management application: using the Application Creation Wizard.
If you want to import metadata and data from external systems into Performance Management Architect, you must configure interface tables. In previous releases, you configured and managed these tables using Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management System Configurator, but now you can configure and manage these tables using the Interface Data Source Wizard from within Performance Management Architect.
Performance Management Architect now supports Essbase in Secure Socket Layer (SSL) mode. In SSL mode, all communication between Essbase Server, Oracle Essbase Studio Server, and Performance Management Architect is encrypted to ensure data security. See the Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management System Security Administration Guide for more information.
You can import metadata (that is, dimensions and member hierarchies) from Data Relationship Management applications into this release of Performance Management Architect. You do this by exporting metadata from Data Relationship Management applications and importing it into Performance Management Architect. After you import the metadata, you can use it in EPM applications supported by Performance Management Architect.
You can create reusable dimension filters to restrict the members that are applied during data synchronization. After you create and save a filter, it is available from the Dimension Mapping screen in the Data Synchronization module. You can share the filter across different data synchronization objects.
Performance Management Architect 11.1.2.1 includes these new and enhanced features.
In previous releases, Performance Management Architect used a directory for temporary files, external to the Hyperion Home or Oracle Home directory. This temp directory contains artifacts like Job Console attachments and other Performance Management Architect files.
In release 11.1.2.1, the Performance Management Architect temp files are stored in the appropriate Oracle Home directory location. Typically, the temporary directory is: %EPM_ORACLE_INSTANCE%\tmp.
In previous releases, Performance Management Architect had five Windows services for the Dimension Server:
Process Manager
Job Manager
Event Manager
Engine Manager
.Net JNI Bridge
For Release 11.1.2.1, the first four processes have been combined into one Dimension Server process, called "Hyperion EPMA Server." .Net JNI Bridge is no longer exposed as a service. It is still a separate process that is controlled by the "Hyperion EPMA Server" service.
Note: There are two additional services, which are separate from the Dimension Server. (Hyperion EPMA Web tier - Web Application and Hyperion EPMA Data Synchronizer - Web Application)
The Member Selector dialog boxes appear in a variety of locations throughout Performance Management Architect. In Release 11.1.2.1, you will notice improved consistency throughout.
Performance Management Architect now has a Deployment History feature that administrators can use to review information relating to the lifecycle of an application. These deployment history details include:
The deployment history displays in the Job Console and provides a history for the last 10 deployments.
The deployment history shows the date, time, deployment status (success/failure), and deployment comments.
The administrator can view the deployment XML by clicking the Export Details link in the Job Console.
Ability to purge the deployment history and clean up the logs by removing jobs in the Job Console.
Note: To view the application deployment history, you must have specific roles assigned in Shared Services. For additional information, see the Oracle Hyperion Performance Management Architect Administrator's Guide.
A variety of new test cases have been added to the Application Diagnostics feature. Some of the new test cases include diagnosing:
Invalid deployment information
Instances where an application is deployed in Performance Management Architect, but is also a Classic application in the product
Instances where an application is deployed in Performance Management Architect, but is not appearing the product
Enhanced data load options are available when you synchronize applications. Data load options are based on the type of target EPM application specified. Supported data load options:
For Financial Management applications -Merge, Replace, Accumulate, and Accumulate in Source for merge and replace options
For Essbase and Planning applications -Overwrite, Add, and Subtract
Creating import profiles has been simplified. Improvements include:
Improved merge and replace behavior
Improved property array updates
Improved source-to-target property mapping behavior
The IsPrimary column in the flat file determines the member import action of "Merge as Primary" or "Merge as Shared."
The ability to reorder existing members based on the selection of the Merge to Top or Merge to Bottom option.
In previous releases, you can move Classic applications by selecting Navigate > Administer > Application Upgrade.
In Release 11.1.2.1, this feature has been renamed. To access the wizard, select Navigate > Administer > Transform Classic to EPM Architect.
Performance Management Architect 11.1.2 includes these new and enhanced features.
Performance Management Architect now supports:
Essbase application upgrade to Performance Management Architect
Performance Management Architect smart list to Essbase text list support
Oracle Essbase ASO applications as a source for data synchronizations
The ability to modify performance settings for dense and sparse dimensions.
The ability to modify the sort order by entering a new sort order in the Reorder Children dialog box.
Support for Dynamic Time Series (DTS) on the period dimension in BSO cubes.
Improved validations for Essbase ASO and BSO applications
Essbase outline improvements, including:
Named generations and levels
Typed measures
Date format
Format string (MDX Syntax)
Note: Essbase varying attributes are not supported in this release.
In some cases, the state of a Performance Management Architect application may become out of sync with the Dimension Server, object repository, or target Enterprise Performance Management product. This may occur for various reasons and you can now run the new application diagnostic feature to check for application inconsistencies. Issues identified may either be fixed manually or automatically by selecting the appropriate resolution option.
Oracle Hyperion Financial Management now supports the ability to select a Performance Management Architect application using the Financial Management Copy Application Utility. Users can copy the application in two different ways:
Select an existing Performance Management Architect Financial Management application. This method copies the application to the target system and results in a Classic application. The user can then upgrade the Classic application to Performance Management Architect using the Performance Management Architect upgrade feature.
Migrate the Performance Management Architect Financial Management application using Lifecycle Management, and then use the Financial Management Copy Application Utility to move the data.
You can create Oracle Hyperion Public Sector Planning and Budgeting applications using the same process as you would to create Oracle Hyperion Capital Asset Planning and Oracle Hyperion Workforce Planning applications.
Performance Management Architect supports an increase in the size of member domains in the Dimension Library and Member Selector. If you have expanded a dimension with a large number of members, you can now collapse the parent instead of manually scrolling up to find the parent and click [-].
Updated validations on Oracle Hyperion Profitability and Cost Management applications.
Support for duplicate members across dimensions, and this will facilitate the ability to load data via Performance Management Architect with the data synchronization feature where these duplicate members exist. Note: You can load data into a Profitability application in previous releases as long as these types of duplicate members do not exist.

You can upgrade to EPM System Release 11.1.2.2 from the following releases:
Note: For instructions to upgrade, see the Oracle Enterprise Performance Management System Installation and Configuration Guide, "Upgrading EPM System Products."
Table 1. Table
| Release Upgrade Path From | To |
|---|---|
11.1.2.x | 11.1.2.2 Note that when moving from Release 11.1.2.0.x or 11.1.2.1.x to Release 11.1.2.2, you use the "Apply Maintenance Release" option in Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management System Installer, instead of following the documented upgrade procedures. For Financial Close Management, applying the maintenance release is supported only from Release 11.1.2.1. |
11.1.1.3.x | 11.1.2.2 |
11.1.1.4.x | 11.1.2.2 |
9.3.3.x Note: If you were using Performance Management Architect Release 9.3.1, you can download Performance Management Architect Release 9.3.3 from My Oracle Support. | 11.1.2.2 |
A release earlier than Release 9.3.3.x | If you are upgrading from a release earlier than 9.3.3.x, you must first upgrade to a supported release and then upgrade to release 11.1.2.2. For upgrade procedures for the earlier release, see the product installation guides for the interim release that you are upgrading to. |
An environment that includes multiple releases, which can include an environment with one instance of Oracle Hyperion Shared Services or an environment with two instances of Shared Services | See "Upgrading from an Environment with Multiple Releases" in the "Upgrading EPM System Products" chapter in the Oracle Enterprise Performance Management System Installation and Configuration Guide. |
Note: If you are starting from Release 9.2.0.3+, 9.3.0.x, 9.3.1.x (except for Essbase 9.3.1.4.1, 9.3.1.5, 9.3.1.6, and 9.3.1.7), or 11.1.1.x, Oracle recommends that you upgrade to Release 11.1.1.3 as your interim release. If you are starting from an earlier release, Oracle recommends that you upgrade to the highest level release that directly supports upgrade from your starting release. Security Synchronization between Essbase and Shared Services was removed in Essbase Release 9.3, starting with Release 9.3.1.4.1. Essbase and Oracle Hyperion Shared Services Release 11.1.1.3, however, still synchronize security information. For this reason, if you are using Essbase Release 9.3.1.4.1, 9.3.1.5, 9.3.1.6, or 9.3.1.7, you must first upgrade all products to Release 9.3.3, instead of Release 11.1.1.3.
If you are coming from Release 11.1.2.0 or 11.1.2.1, use the Defects Fixed Finder tool to review the list of defects fixed between those releases and Release 11.1.2.2. This tool is available here:
https://support.oracle.com/oip/faces/secure/km/DocumentDisplay.jspx?id=1292603.1
Following is a list of the fixed defects in this release.
13606579 -- Attribute dimensions may fail to validate in Oracle Hyperion Planning.
13554304 -- You may be unable to select an ICP entity to set as an ICPTopMember property of an Account in Financial Management applications.
13520618 -- If you use shared dimensions in your Essbase applications, the applications may validate more slowly in Performance Management Architect.
13516136 -- When upgrading Planning applications to the previous release, any dimensions with Dutch names may cause validation and deployment failures.
13476802 -- After creating a Profitability and Cost Management application in Performance Management Architect, deploying the application to the Profitability and Cost Management Web-tier, creating stages in a model, and deploying the Profitability and Cost Management application to Essbase, the stage dimensions may not be visible in the Performance Management Architect application library, and there may be an error in the Profitability and Cost Management log file.
13466567 -- The Start year in the Scenario dimension can not be set to “No Year” unless the End Year is also set to “No Year”.
13429306 -- When you try to validate a previously deployed Performance Management Architect application after editing the Alias property of the Period dimension, the validation may fail.
13377430 -- When using Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management System Lifecycle Management to migrate Oracle Hyperion Public Sector Planning and Budgeting artifacts, Public Sector Planning and Budgeting members' smart list associations may be overridden.
13364718 -- The Run Integrations role is not sufficient to run data synchronizations.
13103308 -- When you use Lifecycle Management to import Performance Management Architect artifacts, user defined properties set to blank may not import successfully.
13011687 -- When you use Lifecycle Management to migrate data synchronizations from a file system to Performance Management Architect, data synchronization names and member names that are in Chinese may display with the wrong characters.
12975709 -- You may receive the error, “Input string was not in the correct format,” when deploying a Planning application that contains a multi-currency property. In this case, the application export code required the multi-currency property value to be a member ID (integer value) from the currency dimension, but a string was returned instead.
12835276 -- If you map a source member to an [ICP None] member and write it in the Mapping Table Designer as \[ICP None\], validate, and finish the mapping, when you reopen the mapping, and click Edit Mapping, the Data Synchronizer may save \[ICP None\] incorrectly as \\[ICP None\\].
12736380 -- When upgrading from Release 9.3.3 to the previous release of Performance Management Architect, the upgrade may fail because of errors in one of the upgrade script files that causes duplicate rows in the database tables.
12638370 -- When you try to save a user defined attribute property in the Dimension Library Grid Editor, the property may not be saved.
12633973 -- Errors may be encountered when searching for members using certain properties such as 'Valid for Plan 1'. Searching by name does not cause the issue.
12633579 -- Performance Management Architect Batch Client does not support SiteMinder Single Sign On (SSO).
12609252 -- The Performance Management Architect dimension server may fail to start in a mixed IPv4 and IPv6 Windows environment.
12601235 -- When you deploy an application from the Application Library, the word “integrity” is misspelled in the Deploy dialog box.
12407519 -- If you rename a BegBalance member in a Planning application, and then try to deploy the application from Performance Management Architect, it may not deploy.
12356946 -- When you create a new Planning application, synchronize the dimensions in the new application, and share the dimensions, the Shared library dimension properties may change to Nevershare, though no error is displayed.
12349880 -- The maximum number of characters for member formulas in the dimension server needs to be documented. For validation to succeed, the maximum number is 7330 characters.
12331280 -- The number loaded to a Planning text member via the Data Synchronizer may be incorrect in Oracle Hyperion Financial Reporting reports. For example, the number 87654321 is converted to 8.7654321E7.
11887661 -- When you try to validate a Planning application in the Performance Management Architect Application Library, the validation may take hours or fail.
11869424 -- When you try to export metadata for a Performance Management Architect Planning application using Lifecycle Management, the export may fail.
11799535 -- Data synchronization may not work when you try to move all data from one Profitability and Cost Management application to another Profitability and Cost Management application.
11790038 -- When you edit a filter, the members you selected for the filter previously may not display.
11768444 -- An application view's description may be lost after you use the File Generator to convert a classic Financial Management application into a Performance Management Architect application.
10255318 -- Oracle Hyperion Calculation Manager uses the dimension name, instead of the dimension alias, when deploying to Planning and Financial Management. This difference can cause business rule validation errors.
13728485 -- You may be unable to import custom property values into the Shared Library from Data Relationship Management.
13844063 -- After you create and deploy an Essbase aggregate storage application with a member formula in release 9.3.3, and perform a schema upgrade from 9.3.3 to this release, in which the upgraded installation exists separately from the original installation, when you perform a CompareToDeployed Application task, the member formulas in the upgraded Essbase aggregate storage application may be deleted.
13618582 -- When attributes are assigned to base members that are on different generations (but on the same level) in a ragged hierarchy, some of the attribute associations are lost after deployment.
Following is a list of the noteworthy known issues for this release:
13856465, 13846695 -- You may be unable to perform an export using Lifecycle Management if the application contains a dimension name with a / character in it.
12731406 -- If you run the Batch Client in a Unix or Linux environment, you may receive the error, “ERROR .HYPERION.<Machine Name> does not exist”.
To work around this, create a file with the name hyperion.<Machine Name> in the path where the Batch Client is being run, and add the EPM_ORACLE_HOME path variable and its value (for example, EPM_ORACLE_HOME=/scratch/oracle11/Middleware/EPMSystem11R1).
12661080 -- Data Synchronization may fail when you use an Essbase block storage or Profitability and Cost Management application as the source application in a Linux or Unix environment.
11704366 -- A task flow may not complete the redeployment of a Performance Management Architect Profitability application.
13699481, 12938401 -- Aliases may not be deployed from Performance Management Architect to Essbase.
To work around this, make any small change to the Alias dimension before deploying the application. This change should force the dimension to be exported during redeployment of the application.
13854956 -- After you upgrade EPMA from Release 11.1.1.3 to this release, the Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management System Configurator may report a failure even though the database upgraded successfully.
13610984 -- In the Shared Library, create folders (for example, Parent->Child->GrandChild), move a dimension to bottom folder (for example, the GrandChild folder), search for any member by right clicking on a dimension in that folder, the member displays in the "Member Find - Shared Library" property window. However, when you double-click the member, the member may not be located in that dimension.
13543165 -- You may be unable to export metadata from Performance Management Architect for a Planning application using Lifecycle Management.
13435734 -- If you provision a user with the Lifecycle Management administrator role privilege, the user may be able to modify the shared dimension library.
13402625, 13402012-- When you create a copy of an application using the Performance Management Architect Application Library, the smartlist set for an account member as an override made to the source application is not reflected in the copy of the application.
12991606 -- Data Synchronization may be successful even though the interface table or flat file has invalid members. The synchronization process should show the invalid members in the log, and should state that the synchronization is successful with errors when loading data via interface table.
12880468 -- There should be a warning not to rename the Year dimension member before the application is deployed.
12874907 -- If you remove the C:\Temp\JobManagerAttachments\ directory, the validation step of deployment may fail.
12750443 -- When you exclude a member from an Essbase application, the excluded member may still display in Essbase, and the excluded member and other members may display in a different order than they do in Performance Management Architect.
12741133 -- You may be unable to import dimensions into Performance Management Architect from a flat file when you use Tab as the delimiter.
12719529 -- If you access Performance Management Architect through Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management Workspace, when you work with the Grid Editor, you may receive an error message when you edit member formulas.
12685375 -- The File Generator may fail to generate files for some Planning applications. To work around this,
In the Dimension Library, edit the applications that contain the errors.
Right-click on the Entity dimension inside the application, and select "Dimension Associations."
Locate the association to the Currency dimension in the list on the right side of the dialog, and select it.
Click the "<--" button to deactivate the association, and click OK.
12591248 -- When you set up the Holding Company property for a particular entity member (for example, Entity1), you can select the same entity member (Entity1) as the Holding Company property. That is, you can set up the entity, incorrectly, as its own holding company.
12586704 -- If you make a change to an alias in an Essbase application, then redeploy the application to Essbase using the File Generator, the aliases may not display in Essbase.
12369689 -- Members with the user defined attribute HSP_NOLINK may not correctly export from Planning to Performance Management Architect.
11924751 -- When you share a Planning attribute dimension, the members may lose the shared values.
11736540 -- To re-order the top level members of a shared dimension, you must first clear all of the existing top order members and re-specify them again.
10314331 -- When you select the top level member of a dimension, some of the top level members do not display in the shared dimension of an application and do not show up in the Excluded members list.
10033681 -- When creating a multi-currency Planning application using the Performance Management Architect Application Wizard, there are only 13 currencies available to be used as the default currency. However, when creating an application using the Planning Application Wizard, there are more than 150 currencies are available. The same currencies should be available in the Performance Management Architect Application Wizard.
9723902, 10205393 -- Performance Management Architect does not detect duplicate aliases if the case differs.
9394450 -- When deploying an application, the following error message displays, even though the application deploys successfully: “No baseline was found for transaction <xxxxx>.”
8984354 -- The Measures and Allocation Type dimensions lose system members in Essbase applications.
8581754 -- When a profile is created in data synchronizations between two Planning applications, the user with only “Run Integration” privileges can create filters and save the profile.
8422066, 8422053, 8330766 -- Errors occur when importing into the Shared Library when a parent is written in a case-insensitive manner.
7197941 -- In the Dimension Library, change the menu item "Description" to "Alias."
13731838 -- If a Data Relationship Management export fails because of validation errors in Oracle Hyperion Data Relationship Management, an error message should be displayed in the Performance Management Architect Job Console.
13727510 -- If you import a member with the same name as a dimension name, you receive import error messages.
13721348 -- You may receive formula validation errors if you are working in a Japanese locale. To work around this issue, perform formula validations in Oracle Essbase Administration Services.
13567745 -- If you have a Performance Management Architect Essbase block storage application containing a dimension with a 100k flat hierarchy, validation may stop before it completes.
13473968 -- Data Synchronization validation of an external file to an Essbase application fails if the external file (encoded in UTF-8) contains member names with non-ASCII characters. The member names of the non-ASCII characters are also corrupted in the log file.
13385907 -- You may be unable to redeploy Essbase aggregate storage and block storage applications after you migrate them to an Exalytics computer with Essbase 11.1.1.6.
8254818 -- In a Turkish operating environment, you may be unable to use a right-click to deploy a Oracle Hyperion Capital Asset Planning application.
7675626 -- None of the following pages and text is localized into German, Danish, and Turkish languages, but display in English instead: 1) On the Job Console page, the description and type columns are not localized. 2) On the Job Summary Page, the Detail and Status sections are not localized. 3) None of the job attachments are localized. For example, if you open any application validation job and its validation log attachment, the attachment is in English only.
12338099 -- Unmapped source dimensions may fail to execute data synchronizations successfully.
13468449 -- If you upgrade to this release, and try to perform a Financial Management to Planning data synchronization, the data synchronization may fail with this error message: “Could not retrieve the application instance document for application <xxxapplication> from Shared Services.”
13541402, 13541496 -- If you try to perform a Duplicate->Deployed Application (Migrate) on a Financial Management application, you may receive this error message: “Internal Server Error. Error occurred communicating with the server. Status: 500 - Internal Server Error.”
13571448 -- After you run a task flow in a Kerberos environment and check the Performance Management Architect Job Console, the task flow may display as active although it is completed.
13621627 -- The File Generator may export the Entity and Currency dimensions as generic dimensions for Essbase aggregate storage and block storage applications.
13639148 -- If you try to redeploy a Financial Management application with new custom dimensions, the redeploy may stop and produce errors in the load file.
13682769 -- When you right-click the Find Properties option in Dimension Mapping page, the properties may not display while you are editing an import profile.
13688538 -- If you use the From HFM Files option to generate an .ads file, the resulting file may include an Alias property entry in the DimensionsAssociations section for the CellTextLabel dimension. It may also include an Alias column in the CellTextLabel dimension section. This is incorrect, because the CellTextLabel member class does not support the Alias property. If you try to import this generated .ads file into an existing Performance Management Architect Financial Management application, a validation error may occur.
13699259 -- During Performance Management Architect application validation, an invalid member may validate successfully if you are working with a Financial Management Oracle Hyperion Calculation Manager application.
13700835 -- If you import a Financial Management application using Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management System Lifecycle Management, when you validate the application, errors may occur.
13701716 -- The Add New Dimension dialog may not close when you press OK; you may need to press Cancel.
13711054 -- In the Application Creation Wizard, if you are creating a Oracle Hyperion Public Sector Planning and Budgeting application, and if you select the Fiscal Year First Month as Jan, you must select SameCalendarYear as the Fiscal Year Start Date (that is, you should not select PreviousCalendarYear as the Fiscal Year Start Date).
13737561 -- If you try to convert a local account dimension to a shared dimension using either merge or replace mode, you may receive a warning message, the conversion may stop abnormally, and the local account dimension may not be converted into a shared dimension.
13742698 -- The Performance Management Architect Dimension Server may fail to start when connecting to IBM DB2 in Secure Socket Layer (SSL) mode.
13772846 -- After performing a schema upgrade from 11.1.1.3 to 11.1.2.2.000, in which the 11.1.2.2.000 upgrade exists separately from 11.1.1.3, when you run a CompareTODeployedApplication task, results may indicate that Financial Management custom Account members have property differences (for example, Custom Top Member and Enable Custom Aggregation), although there are no property differences.
13779036 -- If you try to validate an Essbase application that is upgraded from 11.1.1.3 to this release, you may receive this error message: “Application server <server:port> is invalid. It is not registered with Shared Services.”
To work around this, deploy the application without selecting the Validate option. After the application deploys successfully, you can validate it by selecting the Validate option.
13779161, 13787993-- After performing schema upgrade from 11.1.1.3 to 11.1.2.2.000, in which the 11.1.2.2.000 upgrade exists separately from 11.1.1.3, when you validate an Essbase aggregate storage or a Profitability and Cost Management application, you may receive a validation warning message letting you know that the default values for some of the members' properties have changed, and because of this, you should run a CompareTODeployedApplication task so you know which members' properties have changed. When you run this task, the changed properties found may differ from the changed properties shown in the validation warning message.
13788710 -- Validating a member formula in a Planning application may cause a “500 internal server error.”
To work around this, use the Diagnostics option in the Application Library to fix the “Invalid deployment information status” message.
13788860 -- If you are using Internet Explorer 9, you may be unable to use your mouse to select combo boxes in any of the Performance Management Architect modules in the Application Library.
To work around this, select the available options by typing the first letter of the option.
13794061 -- Validating an out-of-sync Essbase application may update the status as in sync with deployment, although the application is not deployed.
13797537 -- If you delete a deployed Profitability and Cost Management application after upgrading to from 11.1.2.1 to this release, you may receive an instance error and be unable to delete the application.
To work around this, use the Diagnostics option in the Application Library to fix the “Invalid deployment information status” message.
13800193 -- Performance Management Architect components may be unavailable from Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management Workspace after you upgrade from 11.1.2.1 to this release.
To work around this, change the application pool that the hyperion-bpma-server virtual directory is using.
In IIS Manager, click Advanced Settings.
Click the "..." button in the Application Pool setting, and choose Classic .NET AppPool.
Click OK.
The Application Pool is now using NET 2.0 rather than 4.0. You must use NET 2.0 for hyperion-bpma-server.
13808143 -- After you create a new interface data source, if you select the interface data source created earlier, the server name and the JDBCL URL is incorrectly appended with //. If you try to import via the interface table, you may receive this error: “ORA-12545: Connect failed because target host or object does not exist.”
To work around this, edit and save the server name by removing the // from the server name in the JDBC URL and in the Database Server field.
13813494, 13814009-- Importing a dimension as a local dimension into any application (other than a Financial Management application) creates a dynamic dimension association even though the ADS file does not have any associations defined between the Account and the Generic dimensions.
13814048 -- Dynamic dimension associations may be created in the Shared Application Library although there is no CustomTopMember property in the Essbase, Planning, or Profitability and Cost Management application.
13817741 -- If you create a data synchronization between any two Performance Management Architect applications and try to create a link between any two dimensions, the links may not display in the Internet Explorer 9 browser.
To work around this, verify the links by clicking on the dimensions in the dimension mapping and by checking linked dimensions in the Dimension Properties pane.
