You can upgrade to EPM System Release 220.127.116.11 from the following releases:

Note that when moving from Release 18.104.22.168.x or 22.214.171.124.x to Release 126.96.36.199, you use the "Apply Maintenance Release" option in Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management System Installer, instead of following the documented upgrade procedures.
For Financial Close Management, applying the maintenance release is supported only from Release 188.8.131.52.
Note: If you were using Oracle Hyperion EPM Architect Release 9.3.1, you can download the Oracle Hyperion Shared Services release 9.3.3 from My Oracle Support.
A release earlier than Release 9.3.3.x
If you are upgrading from a release earlier than 9.3.3.x, you must first upgrade to a supported release and then upgrade to release 184.108.40.206. For upgrade procedures for the earlier release, see the product installation guides for the interim release that you are upgrading to.
An environment that includes multiple releases, which can include an environment with one instance of Shared Services or an environment with two instances of Shared Services

Note: If you are starting from Release 220.127.116.11+, 9.3.0.x, 9.3.1.x (except for Oracle Essbase 18.104.22.168.1, 22.214.171.124, 126.96.36.199, and 188.8.131.52), or 11.1.1.x, Oracle recommends that you upgrade to Release 184.108.40.206 as your interim release. If you are starting from an earlier release, Oracle recommends that you upgrade to the highest level release that directly supports upgrade from your starting release. Security Synchronization between Essbase and Shared Services was removed in Essbase Release 9.3, starting with Release 220.127.116.11.1. Essbase and Shared Services Release 18.104.22.168, however, still synchronize security information. For this reason, if you are using Oracle Essbase Release 22.214.171.124.1, 126.96.36.199, 188.8.131.52, or 184.108.40.206, you must first upgrade all products to Release 9.3.3, instead of Release 220.127.116.11.
If you are coming from Release 18.104.22.168 or 22.214.171.124, use the Defects Fixed Finder tool to review the list of defects fixed between those releases and Release 126.96.36.199. This tool is available here:
9736096 -- You must have the WebLogic Admin server running at all times when you use Financial Close Management.
1684419 -- If you create an attribute in one locale and apply it on another locale, in manage Task Types, an entered number attribute value does not save.
10079796,10422907 -- Under certain conditions, logging into the application with one User ID, then logging out and logging back in under another User ID within the same browser session may result in the prior user ID session being displayed.
10116729 -- There is a Business Process Management (BPM) link at the bottom of emails gnerated by Financial Close Management that should not be there.
10199259 -- Task instructions may not display in Task Actions for system automated tasks if the “Run As ID” was not set within the task definition in the source template.
10222095 -- An assignee of an end user task is not allowed to start the task before the scheduled start date.
10304302 -- If you are using Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management System Lifecycle Management to import templates that have embedded templates, then the embedded templates must be imported first.
10350810 -- Reassigning an Alert assignee to the same user as the approver prevents the Alert from progressing within the workflow. Delete the alert and create a new Alert.
10363865 -- Upcoming or Closed Alerts do not display in the My Worklist control.
10367702 10367486 -- Within the Gantt Chart and Calendar views, viewing a schedule/template with a very large number of tasks may cause the view to cycle a very long time. It is recommended to filter the view down to a smaller number of tasks when reviewing the schedule/template in these views.
10374397 -- If you have a large amount of tasks to be displayed in a Gantt view, you may experience performance issues. If a filter is applied, or tasks are hidden as children of parents, the performance may improve.
10411306 -- A power user who is assigned as a Viewer on a template cannot create a schedule from the template.
10414864, 10414923 -- If you use a double-byte or high-ASCII language such as Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Traditional and Taiwan), Russian, or Turkish, Lifecycle Management does not work properly.
10419623 -- In the Schedule Tasks and My Worklist controls, any user-applied sorting within the columns is not persisted between user sessions. Users need to reapply any column sorting in the controls manually.
10419989 -- The task assignee can be reassigned to another user for an Open task if the update is made through a file load.
10428514 -- Lifecycle Management displays square boxes for some double-byte international characters.
11056384 -- When you use Financial Close Management with Smart View, it is recommended that you have your accounts configured to use shared connections as only advanced users and technical support personnel should use private connections.
11074517 -- If you use Firefox as the browser, you must select a browser language country code and a language code. If you do not select a language code, you cannot use Lifecycle Management.
11655933 -- Users who are not assigned the Financial Close Management administrator role can view a listing of Financial Close Management artifacts in Lifecycle Management.
11656451 -- The Lifecycle Management right-click migration option is not working for Financial Close Management when you try to import a single artifact.
11656837 -- Financial Close Management artifact names with * ; ‘ characters fail to migrate.
11668794, 11667534 -- After users perform an action in Smart View, for example, submitting or approving a task, they must close the dialog box to refresh the screen.
11676085,11676034,11676121 -- A MSR (Error message) shows completed even though artifacts that have special characters; for example, left parenthesis ( , forward slash /, comma (,), and apostraphe ('), do not get exported for Task Type artifacts.
11687672 -- Financial Close Management tasks open in the browser language instead of the language set in Smart View.
11695020 -- If Financial Close Management logging is set to a Trace level or lower, selecting the parameters for Oracle Hyperion Financial Management integrations may generate this error: “com.ctc.wstx.exc.WstxIOException: Exceeding stated content length of 213”. If this occurs, raising the Financial Close Management logging level above Trace will clear the issue.
11699188 -- When you create a task using the HFM Task Type, if the application name contains Japanese characters, the task parameters do not display correctly and there may be issues starting the task.
11770071 -- When you log onto Financial Close Management, the dialog box that states alert actions displays.
11771874, 10236022, 11061158 -- Under high concurrent usage where multiple users are executing the exact same action, the Microsoft SQL database may report deadlocks upon post actions. This may result in inconsistent rendering of the user interface or tasks failing to execute. These failures will result in the following issue being reported within the Financial Close Management log –“JBO-26041: Failed to post data to database during "Update"…” and deadlocks reported within the MS SQL database log.
11779752,11071949 -- Financial Close Management artifacts cannot be migrated using the Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management System Lifecycle Management (command-line) Utility.
11805162 -- The Financial Management and Financial Reporting Web integrations will fail with an error when launched from within Oracle Hyperion Smart View for Office.
12758702 -- Executing multiple schedules in Financial Close at the same time causes some tasks not to start.
12758707 -- When you import, Financial Close Management does not cause an error when a task is a parent of itself.
The following issues are the noteworthy known issues of this release.
11869333, 11922789 -- Financial Close Management forces WebLogic to check for JSP Pages.
10317012 -- National Language Support (NLS):LDAP preferred language is not used for create, change, start task, or email. Workaround: The human workflow engine maintains a list of supported locales in the Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) Console. If you need to test a user with a specific locale, you must add that locale to the locale list. For more information on adding a locale to the local list, see Using LDAP Preferred Language.
10403568 -- The “Replace All” load option is currently not supported for Financial Close Management artifacts.
8921652 -- Status Chart and Overview portlets do not swap when you drag in Internet Explorer 7.
9761181 -- An error message may be displayed if the user attempts to drill into the Alerts bar in the Status Chart control after printing the control.
10419307 -- The Status Overview control displays an error if the user no longer has any task assignments in any Open or Closed schedules.
11739147 -- When using Close Manager with Smart View, you can authorize tasks only with your own ID. If you try to enter different user credentials, errors will occur. If this occurs, log on to the application through the Web and enter the credentials there.
10359859 -- If you remove all children of an open parent task, you cannot complete the parent task.
9744611 -- If you have Financial Close Management and Task Actions from email open in the same browser session, when you close one of them, the other session will be closed.
12839944 -- When you try to submit, approve, or reject a task from a Task Actions dialog, a Business Process Execution Language (BPEL) error occurs. The underlying log has a CLASSCASTEXCEPTION.
To work around this issue:
In the WebLogic Administration Console, expand Diagnostics and select Diagnostic Modules.
On the Summary of Diagnostic Modules page, click the module Module-FMWDFW.
Select the Configuration tab, and then select the Watches and Notifications tab.
In the resulting screen, clear the Enabled checkbox and click Save.
Restart all the servers in the WebLogic domain.
13547697 -- After an Account Reconciliation Manager window expires due to inactivity, you can not log back on.
12962672 -- Oracle Hyperion Shared Services Account Reconciliation Manager and Close Manager submenus list both Account Reconciliation Manager and Account Reconciliation Manager roles.
13805811 -- When you validate a balance on a reconciliation that contains alphanumeric values, an exception error occurs. Workaround: Do not use underscores (_).
13835771 -- After you open Account Reconciliation Manager and use a view option in a portlet, you cannot open an Actions dialog.

Before you import a file to a schedule using the Update option for a closed task, remove the Owner, Assignee, Approver, and Start Date and Time fields from the import file, or an error occurs.
Add the following to the Oracle Hyperion Financial Close Management Administrator's Guide, and Oracle Hyperion Financial Close Management User's Guide:
You can access Financial Close Management tasks as Microsoft Outlook tasks in your Microsoft Outlook Calendar using Smart View. When you access Financial Close Management from Smart View, the system displays any open tasks that you have as an assignee or approver. This is different from the My Worklist default view that you see when you launch Financial Close Management directly instead of from Smart View.
10383364 -- When you use Oracle Hyperion Financial Close Management with Smart View, do not use the Microsoft Outlook Customize View functionality. Use the Oracle Hyperion Smart View for Office panel and right-click the Customize fields.
In the Oracle Hyperion Financial Close Management Administrator's Guide, under Close Manager, “Creating Custom Attributes”, change the default value to 0:
If you select Number, select the formatting options:
For Decimal Places, enter a value for the number of decimal places to display. The default value is 0.
13403113 - Add the following to the Oracle Hyperion Financial Close Management Administrator's Guide, under “Copying Profiles to Period”:
When you change the Skip Weekends setting of a period, only the profiles that are copied to the period after the setting is changed are affected; the existing reconciliations are not affected in the period.
