Preface

This manual describes error messages that may appear while using products that are part of Oracle Database. Each message listing in the manual contains the message statement, an explanation of the probable causes of the message, and a recommended action. If the message is a warning or indicates that an error occurred, then the message listing indicates a corrective action.

Audience

Oracle Database Error Messages is intended for all Oracle Database users.

Documentation Accessibility

The following text conventions are used in this document:

Convention Meaning
boldface Boldface type indicates graphical user interface elements associated with an action, or terms defined in text or the glossary.
italic Italic type indicates book titles, emphasis, or placeholder variables for which you supply particular values.
monospace Monospace type indicates commands within a paragraph, URLs, code in examples, text that appears on the screen, or text that you enter.
