Compensation Plan Templates

Oracle Incentive Compensation is a robust, rules based engine for calculation of sales compensation for a diverse set of industries. Each industry has a specific set of requirements for its sales compensation plans. Oracle Incentive Compensation includes selected industry-specific compensation plan templates that incorporate best practices.

Currently, Oracle Incentive Compensation includes compensation plan templates for the following segments:

To import a plan:

  1. Download the compensation plan template file to your local system. The files are stored at the relative path $APPL_TOP/cn/12.0.0/patch/115/xml.

    These are the industry-specific compensation plan templates that Oracle Incentive Compensation provides:

  2. Log in as Plan Administrator.

  3. Click Import Setup Data.

  4. Click Create.

  5. Enter the request name and select the target operating unit where the plan is to be imported.

  6. Browse for the compensation plan template.

    The application by default sets the start date of an imported plan to 01-Jan-2010 and the end date to 31-Dec-2010. You can optionally change the start and end dates.

  7. Click Submit.

After you have submitted the import request, navigate to Monitor Request, to see the status of the request. Once a compensation plan has been successfully imported into the system, you can view details of the plan elements, earnings rules, eligible products, and rate tables. You can additionally modify a compensation plan to suit your business needs.

Communications - Wireless Segment

Oracle Incentive Compensation includes the following compensation plan templates for the wireless segment of the communications industry. These plans are designed to compensate channels and employees on service plan activation, service plan renewals, billing, and sales of devices and accessories.

Retail Outlets

This is a sample compensation plan for retail outlets selling wireless related products. The Retail Outlets compensation plan consists of these plan elements:

Distributors

This is a sample compensation plan for distributors selling wireless related products. The Distributors compensation plan consists of these plan elements:

Company Store Managers
