Assignment Time Information

Using the Assignment Time Information window, you can assign an employee to time management structures and policies.

Can you assign a recurring work schedule to a worker?

Yes, using the Assignment Time Information window, you can assign rotation plans, which are made up of work schedules to a worker. You can also determine if a worker will have a timecard autogenerated, as well as assigning an earning policy, shift differential policy and hour deduction policy.

Entering Assignment Time Information

Use the Assignment Time Information window to assign an employee to a rotation plan and time management policies.

To enter assignment time information

  1. Select the assignment.

  2. In the Autogen Hours YN field, select Yes to autogenerate this person's timecard or No to prevent autogeneration. You must select Yes for people who are to use the Work Schedule dynamic template.

  3. Select the applicable rotation plan for this person.

  4. Select the appropriate earning policy.

  5. Optionally, select a shift differential policy.

  6. Optionally, select an hour deduction policy.

  7. Save your work.

    Note: You can also mass upload or update the above details using the Assignment Time Information WebADI integrator. You can use standard WebADI tools to download or upload the details to a spreadsheet. Ensure you follow the instructions provided on the spreadsheet while inserting or updating the data on the WEBADI spreadsheet.

    To mass upload Assignment Time Information using WebADI integrator, ensure you use the function Mass Upload Assignment Time Information added to the predefined Time Administrator responsibility.

Using the Employee Assignment Information Folder

Use the Employee Assignment Information folder to select a group of employees and view their time information. This information includes the policies, rotation plan, and holiday calendar to which they are assigned, their earnings for overtime cap, and whether hours are automatically generated for them.

To use the Employee Assignment Information folder

Choose Assignment Time Information from the OTL Time Accounting branch from the navigator.

  1. In the Assignments option group, select Current, Past, or Both.

  2. You can enter further selection criteria in the folder, such as payroll, business group, organization, earning policy, and other assignment time information.

  3. Run the query.
