ProcedureTo Access the System Manager Server Through SSH

Secure Shell (ssh) is a program for logging into a remote machine and for executing commands on a remote machine. This program connects and logs into the specified hostname. The user must prove the identity to the remote machine using one of several methods depending on the protocol version used.

  1. Navigate through the topology or hierarchy view until you have accessed the System Manager server that has Volume System Monitoring add-on.

  2. Press mouse button 3 and choose SSH to Host from the pop-up menu.

    The ssh program on the System Manager server is started.

  3. Log in to the System Manager server with appropriate credentials.
