Upgrading Sun Blade X8400 Server Modules ILOM Firmware

You can upgrade the Sun Blade X8400 Server Modules ILOM firmware in the N1 System Manager environment.

The ILOM firmware version installed on the CMM must be the same as the ILOM firmware version installed on the service processors of the Sun Blade X8400 Server Modules. Use N1 System Manager to upgrade the firmware on Sun Blade X8400 Server Modules. See Chapter 6, Managing Firmware SP, BIOS, and ALOM Updates, in Sun N1 System Manager 1.3 Operating System Provisioning Guide for details about upgrading firmware.

For details about changing the firmware of theSun Blade 8000 Chassis, refer to the Sun Blade 8000 Modular System documentation.

N1 System Manager does not support upgrading the firmware on the Sun Blade 8000 Chassis. N1 System Manager does support upgrading the firmware on the Sun Blade X8400 Server Modules.
