Process Tracing

Process tracing is a debugging tool where one process manipulates the contents of another process by doing such things as reading from and writing to its address space and registers, altering its flow of control, and setting breakpoints. The discretionary access policy requires the effective user IDs of the processes be equal. The mandatory access policy for manipulating the contents of another process is read-equal and write-equal.
