ProcedureHow to Start UUCP

To activate the uudemon.crontab file, do the following:

  1. Become superuser or assume an equivalent role.

    Roles contain authorizations and privileged commands. For more information about roles, see Configuring RBAC (Task Map) in System Administration Guide: Security Services.

  2. Edit the /usr/lib/uucp/uudemon.crontab file and change entries as required.

  3. Activate the uudemon.crontab file by issuing the following command:


    crontab < /usr/lib/uucp/uudemon.crontab
