Logical Design Phase and Other Deployment Planning Phases

This figure shows the relationship of the business analysis, technical requirements, logical design, and deployment design phases.

The business analysis phase contains business requirement inputs to the technical requirements phase. These inputs apply to usage analysis, use cases, and system requirements.

The technical requirements phase contains use cases, usage analysis, and system requirements. Use cases provide inputs to the system requirements and the logical architecture. Business requirements from the business analysis phase also provides input to the system requirements. Usage analysis provides inputs to the logical architecture, which is in the logical design phase.

System requirements and the logical architecture together make up a deployment scenario. The deployment scenario is an input to the deployment architecture, which makes up the deployment design phase.
