How to Remove the Fan Tray Carriage

  1. Prepare the server for service. See How to Prepare the Server for Service.
  2. Remove all of the fan trays from the fan tray carriage. See How to Remove the Fan Tray.
  3. Remove all of the CPU modules. See How to Remove a CPU Module or Filler Card.
  4. Remove the nine screws from the top of the fan tray carriage.

  5. Loosen the seven captive screws that secure the fan tray carriage to the chassis and the motherboard.
