Verifying the Sun Cluster HA for Sun Java System Application Server Installation and Configuration

This section describes how to verify correct installation of Sun Cluster HA for Sun Java System Application Server.

After installation, use only the cluster administration command clresourcegroup(1CL) to manually start and stop Sun Java System Application Server. After you start Sun Java System Application Server, it runs under the control of Sun Cluster software.

How to Verify the Sun Cluster HA for Sun Java System Application Server Installation and Configuration

1. Start the Sun Java System Application Server under the control of Sun Cluster software.

   # clresourcegroup online resource-group

2. Connect to the Sun Java System Application Server by using a browser, and verify that the Sun Java System Application Server software functions correctly.

3. Run the clresourcegroup command to switch the resource group to another cluster node or zone, such as node2.

   # clresourcegroup online -n node2 resource-group

4. Verify that the resource group and the Sun Java System Application Server resource are online.

   # clresourcegroup status # ps -ef

5. Repeat Step 2 and Step 3 on all of the potential primaries of the Sun Java System Application Server resource groups.
