SunOS 4 では、troff ファイルをデフォルトプリンタに送信するために次のコマンドが必要です。

% troff filename

Solaris 7 環境では、パイプ (|) を使用して lp コマンドにファイルを出力する必要があります。表 11-3 は SunOS 5.7 の troff コマンドを示します。
