Preface

The Hardware Certification Test Suite 2.3 Installation Guide provides detailed instructions for users to download and install the Hardware Certification Test Suite. In addition, this document provides additional information about how to uninstall HCTS and how to access additional information relating to the Solaris Operating System x86 Platform Edition hardware certification program.

Who Should Use This Book

This document is intended for independent hardware vendors (IHVs), hardware manufacturers, system integrators, and end users who wish to install the Hardware Certification Test Suite (HCTS) to certify their system or controller for the Solaris Operating System x86 Platform Edition. This document is necessary for any of these customers who need to install HCTS on a test system.
