Before You Start

Sun OpenDS Standard Edition includes a number of command-line utilities that can be used to interact with the directory server. Some of the utilities are administrative commands for managing the directory server, and others are used to configure the proxy component.

This document describes all of the commands that are provided with Sun OpenDS Standard Edition 2.2. Not all of these commands are supported for use with the Sun OpenDS Standard Edition proxy. Similarly, a number of commands are specific to the proxy and should not be used to configure the directory server.

Caution - If you use unsupported commands, your server may not work as expected and will no longer be supported.
