9.1.3.14 Deferred Processing Control

Next the mailDeferProcessing attribute is checked. This attribute can be changed by using the LDAP_REPROCESS MTA option. Processing continues normally if this attribute exists and is set to no. But if this attribute is set to yes and the current source channel is not the reprocess channel, expansion of this entry is aborted and the original user@domain address is simply queued to the reprocess channel. If this attribute does not exist, the setting of the deferred processing character prefix associated with delivery options processing is checked. (See the section 9.1.3.8 Delivery Options Processing the default for users is no. The default for groups is controlled by the MTA option DEFER_GROUP_PROCESSING, which defaults to 1 (yes). Alias processing concludes at this point for user entries.
