Summary of Directory Server Commands and Their Use

The tables in this section provide a summary of the directory server command-line utilities and how they interact with the server. The tables use the following legend:

Remote

The command can be launched on a remote server

Offline

The command can be launched when the server is stopped

Online

The command connects to a running server instance

Administration Port Only

The command must use the administration connector to access the server (on port 4444 by default)
