ProcedureTo Share Folders

Steps
  1. While still logged in as user Duncan, click the Manage Folders icon.

    The Folders view appears.

  2. Click the New icon to create a new folder.

    A dialog box appears, prompting for a folder name.

  3. Type the name of the new folder Presos, and click OK.

    The new folder appears in the Folders list.

  4. To share this folder, select the radio button beside the new folder.

  5. In the Folder Actions drop-down menu, select Share Folder.

    The Share Folder window appears.

  6. From the Permissions drop-down menu, choose Read and Write to give all users read and write permission.


    Note –

    You can give a folder read-only permission, or read, write, and manage permission. Also, you can share your folder with specific individuals by typing their user ID in the permissions list.


  7. Click OK to share the folder.

    The Share Folder window closes, and the Preso folder in the Folders list now has a check mark indicating that it is shared.

  8. Start a separate web browser and type the URL of Communications Express.


    http://hostname.map.beta.com/uwc

    For example, http://wireless.map.beta.com/uwc.

    The browser should be completely separate. For example, if you used Internet Explorer to perform the previous steps, launch Firefox or Mozilla. You can also launch a browser from a separate client system.

  9. Log in as user robert and a password of demo.

  10. Follow steps 1 through 7 to create a folder called Test Messages.

  11. Click Log Out to log off Robert from Communications Express.

  12. Continue with the next task.
