Running Message Queue Broker with Trial License of Enterprise Edition
To run the Message Queue broker with a trial license of the Enterprise Edition, start the broker that is used by the Application Server instance with the following additional option:
-license try
Note
By default, when an Application Server instance is started, a Message Queue broker instance is also started.
Example: Using the -license try Option
The following example shows the use of asadmin command to run the Message Queue broker with the trial license of Sun Java System Message Queue Enterprise Edition 3.5.
The Application Server instance in this example is named server1.
asadmin set “server1.jms-service.startArgs= -license try” --user admin --password mypassword --port 4848 --host localhost
For the change to take effect, you must restart the Application Server instance.
Note
Enclose the string server1.jms-service.startArgs= -license try in double-quotes, as shown in the example. Make this change when the Application Server instance is not running.
For more information on JMS service attributes, see Appendix A, "Using the Command Line Interface."
