Planning Your Replication Deployment

You can configure a replication deployment with an unlimited number of masters. You are not required to include hubs or consumers in your deployment. Procedures for configuring replication for hubs and consumers are included in this chapter, but they are optional.

Before you begin configuring replication, you need to have a clear understanding of the way that replication will be deployed in your organization. You must understand the replication concepts described in Oracle Fusion Middleware Reference for Oracle Directory Server Enterprise Edition. You must also have carefully planned your future replication configuration using the design guidelines provided in the Oracle Fusion Middleware Deployment Planning Guide for Oracle Directory Server Enterprise Edition.
