7.1 Adjust Nautilus Settings

You can improve the performance of the GNOME Desktop by optimizing the settings of the Nautilus window manager.

Action  

1. Open a Nautilus window.

2. Choose Edit -> Preferences.

3. Select Performance.

4. Make sure all options are set to Local File Only or Never.
