Secure Global Desktop 4.40 Administration Guide > Applications, Documents, and Application Servers > Can I Prevent Users From Launching Applications With a Different User Name and Password?
Yes. In a standard SGD installation, users can force SGD to prompt them for a user name and password (in the Application Authentication dialog) by holding down the Shift key when they click an application's link on the webtop.
Note You cannot use Shift-click with the SGD Client when it is in Integrated mode.
You can change the Shift-click behavior as follows:
Alternatively, use the following command:
$ tarantella config edit --launch-showauthdialog option
The following values can be used for option:
user- show the authentication dialog when there is a password problem or when the user holds down the Shift key when they click an application's link. This is the default SGD setting.
system- show the authentication dialog only when a user's cached password is incorrect or missing.
none- never show the authentication dialog. If a user's cached password is incorrect or missing, the application launch fails.
